If you’ve built a keynote presentation, you can easily add it to your new iBook.  This is a great way to embed content and leverage existing education materials.  Maybe it’s a lecture series or a corporate presentation, not a problem!  You can add any Keynote file to iBooks Author in just a few clicks.

Add the slide deck to iBooks Author

You can quickly add the slide deck to any page in iBooks Author.

  1. Choose Keynote from the Widgets pop-up menu in the toolbar.
  2. Drag a Keynote file to the Keynote widget or in the Widget inspector, click Interaction, click Choose, and choose a Keynote file.
  3. When you choose a Keynote document (.key), Keynote lunches and automatically converts the file as HTML. Note that presentations with voiceover narration and self-playing presentations are not supported.
  4. Preview the book  You can’t interact with a Keynote slideshow in iBooks Author (but you can push a preview document to your iPad).
