To install an iBook on your iPad manually is pretty easy. Use the following steps to properly install a downloaded iBook.
- Be sure to download and install the free iBooks application. Make sure you have the latest version: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks/id364709193?mt=8..
- Download the current iBook the you want to install.
- Connect your iPad to your computer with the iPod dock cable.
- Launch iTunes and make sure your iPad shows in the sidebar. It should appear in the devices list.
- Drag the iBook file onto your device in the sidebar.
- Let the file transfer to your device.
- Disconnect your iPad by clicking the eject button and removing the cable.
- Launch iBooks on your iPad and browse to the installed iBook. If you don’t see the bookshelf, tap near the top of the page to open the Nav bar.
- Then tap the library button. Tap Collections and choose Books.
- Choose the book you want to view.
